100 Hours Under One Sky is a project led by the International Astronomical Union (IAU)'s Office for Astronomy Outreach UK National Outreach Coordinator team. That's Jenny, Gemma, and James.
We wanted to do something new and different to promote the IAU's 100 Hours of Astronomy event, to bring people together in the UK (and in future, internationally). We wanted to do something for people who wouldn't normally go to an astronomy event, but might be interested to take part from home.
This project is possible because we have some amazing project partners and funders:
Neill from Go Stargazing brings technical expertise. His mission of helping beginner stargazers find stargazing events and resources fits perfectly with our own aims.
The Royal Astronomical Society is supporting the project with advice and guidance, and also helping with the media side of things.
The Federation of Astronomical Societies and the British Astronomical Association have provided funding to pay for things like the website and graphic design.
