100 Hours Under One Sky is a project led by the International Astronomical Union (IAU)'s Office for Astronomy Outreach UK National Outreach Coordinator team. That's Jenny, Gemma, and James.
We wanted to do something new and different to promote the IAU's 100 Hours of Astronomy event, to bring people together in the UK (and in future, internationally). We wanted to do something for people who wouldn't normally go to an astronomy event, but might be interested to take part from home.
This project is possible because we have some amazing project partners and funders:
Neill from Go Stargazing brings technical expertise. His mission of helping beginner stargazers find stargazing events and resources fits perfectly with our own aims.
The International Astronomical Union's Office of Astronomy Outreach is supporting the project with a National Outreach Coordinator grant.
The Federation of Astronomical Societies has provided funding for a TikTok campaign to help us reach new audiences.
The Royal Astronomical Society and British Astronomical Association have also provided support to the project.
